    Rounded Corners 241 — Ruminations

Red. Writes like Ruby and Runs line JavaScript. Jessesielaff’s original and julius’s more recent fork. This is one interesting project that certainly needs more attention.

Easy2. In my case, EC2 was love at first sight. I like how easy it is to build an instance, configure out, try things out, tear down instances when I’m done. An evening, experimenting with Ruby 1.9.1/Nginx setup for an upcoming deployment cost me $2. For development work, beats VPS.

The command line tools, though, could use a little work. Next on the list, checking out Sumo, EC2 instance management without the struggle, and PoolParty which wants to tackle more complex deployments.

REST-*. No. Seriously. REST-*. To quote @enterprisey:

The Web has been a total failure for eCommerce and “real” computing, so REST-* is a very interesting prospect:http://www.jboss.org/reststar

Stocked. Not enough stock photography in your life? There’s a blog for that. Headset Hotties. (via Coding Horror)

Ruminations. “What would happen if I hired two private investigators to follow each other?” and more Random thoughts from 25-35 year olds, many of which come from Ruminations, a time sucker (and I mean it in the best possible way). Via @rtomayko.

The red thing is absolutely amazing if it works. I mean, I love jQuery and use it constantly, but if I could have the terseness and classness of Ruby? *swoon*

I can’t wait to try it out.
