Keep on rocking! InfoWorld: “Open source is where the action is in 2007″. Not the first time Open Source is labeled The Next Best Thing. But looking at the year past, open source just keeps gaining ground with no end in sight. Rock on!
Oracle goes Rails. One such sign is Oracle’s own FAQ for using Rails with Oracle.
Me? Thank you! Time names me person of the year. I link back, thanking Time with a bit of pagerank. And another one, just for mentioning open source.
But then again … The Time does get it wrong. As Paul Kedrosky says: “It is the concentration [of] risk, the narrowness of the exits, the low cost of market entry, and the ephemeral nature of consumer markets that makes this a much more perilous time for entrepreneurs.”
Brownie points if you can spot the irony in this juxtaposition.
