Google gets better by opening up

    Much, much better.

I just ran a search on Google. It needed a bit of tweaking before I got the right result, when I noticed …

Google adds links at the top of the page, so I can try the same search on Yahoo, Technorati, Wikipedia, Bloglines, and a few sites I don’t recognize. I guess they’re not afraid of the competition. Here’s a company that trusts its search results.

And you know what, they’re not afraid to admit that sometimes Technorati or Wikipedia or even Yahoo may give better results. So? Now I won’t have to work hard to get to these results. Which only means one thing.

Google is the first place I’m going to start searching for stuff.

Thank you for making my life better.

See below. Still a good idea, if only …

      Yes it is. My bad.

Has been on my computer for over a week (thanks to LifeHacker) but I disabled it almost immediately since Firefox seemed to crash more often, so I never noticed what it actually does.

      Switching profiles turned it on.

Still, wish it was Google. Now just (a little bit) disappointed.
